Our Year 6 Leavers 2020
Goodbye Year 6
As we find ourselves at the end of another school year I would like to reiterate how proud I am of all of you in Oak Class. 2020 has been a strange year for us all but you have done me proud, especially during lockdown and the school closure with your hard work and dedication on Google Classroom. We bid a fond farewell to you Year 6, and whilst it wasn’t in the traditional way, we were able to give you a ‘Covid’ send-off you all deserve. I am proud of you all and wish you all the best of luck in the future. I hope you take away with you the values you have been taught at St Paul’s Walden and remember: ‘To help one person grow is to help build the world’.
Whilst I wish we all had a full academic year together, the time we did have we most certainly made the most of. Fun, laughter, learning and lots of memories being made. I will never forget playing Crazy Frog and Pacman on the playground and the fun we had refurbishing the school bench! On that note, I arranged for a plaque to be made for the bench which reads ‘Refurbished during coronavirus lockdown 2020 Oak Class Y6’. I attach a picture for you all to see.
Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for my wonderful gifts, especially the Liverpool football which you all signed! It will take pride of place at home!
